For example you can list the items most recently added to the collection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Browse:<\/strong> Displays only certain items in the collection based on the criterion you select. For example you can display items categorized under a certain topic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Search:<\/strong> Displays the items that contain particular words or phrases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Based on the action, choose from the criteria offered. For example if you choose <em>Browse<\/em>, a list appears of the fields you can browse. Choose a field, say <em>Topics<\/em>, then choose a particular topic to browse.<\/li>\n<li>Click the button you will see to either <strong>Show<\/strong>, <strong>Browse<\/strong> or <strong>Search<\/strong>. A table will appear listing the items that match your criteria. This is only a list of items.<\/li>\n<li>To see more details about an item, and to view the actual item, click the item&#8217;s title or the magnifying glass (<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/aafcollection.com\/comm\/wp-content\/search.png\" alt=\"Details\" border=\"0\" \/>) icon. This displays the <strong>Item Detail<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n<li>Some items are one of a series of items having the same title. Click the <strong>View Series<\/strong> button to see all titles in the series. This displays the <strong>Item Series<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>To View a Document:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you do not have the <em>Adobe Reader<\/em> installed, download it from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adobe<\/a> and install it on your computer following their instructions.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Follow steps 1 through 5 above to pick an item to view. When you click the magnifying glass (<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/aafcollection.com\/comm\/wp-content\/search.png\" alt=\"Details\" border=\"0\" \/>) icon, the <strong>Item Detail<\/strong> page appears.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Item Detail<\/strong> page, click on a PDF link (<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/aafcollection.com\/comm\/wp-content\/pdficon_small.gif\" alt=\"Click this icon to view a PDF document\" width=\"17\" height=\"17\" border=\"0\" \/>).<\/li>\n<li>The document should appear in your browser.<strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong> You may see a blank window until <em>Adobe Reader<\/em> loads and displays the first page. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, the page may be blank for several seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>To Rotate a Document Page:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can rotate a document page for better viewing. When viewing a document in your browser, look on the Adobe toolbar for a button similar to <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/aafcollection.com\/comm\/wp-content\/rotate.gif\" alt=\"Acrobat Reader's rotate button\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" align=\"middle\" border=\"0\" \/>. This button is not displayed by default. To add it, right-click the Adobe toolbar and choose &#8220;More Tools&#8230;.&#8221; Then check the boxes for &#8220;Rotate Clockwise&#8221; and &#8220;Rotate Counterclockwise&#8221; under Page Display Toolbar.<\/p>\n<p>If you downloaded a document and are using Adobe Reader to view it (rather than your Internet browser), use the <strong>Rotate View<\/strong> command under the <strong>View<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To See Items in the Collection: Click View Items in the menu bar above.
