You can now browse the collection by class or unit number.\u00a0 Suppose you know a relative who was in class 44-D, but you’re not sure at which air field he or she was stationed.\u00a0 You can display the items associated with all classes that were numbered 44-D.\u00a0 This narrows down the book in which your relative might appear.<\/p>\n
Each of several air fields had a class 44-D, but these were all separate and unrelated class groups.\u00a0 For example, class 44-D at one field may have been a primary<\/em> pilot class, while at another field 44-D was an advanced<\/em> pilot class.<\/p>\n To browse by class or unit, follow these steps.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Click View Items<\/strong> in the menu bar above.\u00a0 Then choose Browse the Collection<\/strong> in the Choose an Action<\/em> drop-down box.\u00a0 Choose\u00a0Class\/Unit Numbers<\/strong> in the Browse<\/em> drop-down box.\u00a0 Choose a class or unit number from the list available, then click the Browse<\/strong> button.
